The Club meets 3 times a month September through June, with the exception of December. Tuesday and Thursday Meetings consist of about 20 to 30 minutes of Club business (up-coming events, committee reports, et cetera). Followed by an evening Presentation with a short intermission, and social. With the exception of our monthly Evening Favourites competition held on Tuesday evenings. Wednesday Tech Nights is the education component of the three meetings.
Each meeting includes presentations by a respected photographer, including Club members, and industry professionals alike. We try to vary the subject matter, and level of the presentations to take into consideration the level of photographic experience within the club, so as to meet the interests of all club members. Your suggestions for future presentations, or guest speakers are welcome, and greatly appreciated. Please forward any suggestions to the Presentations Chairperson.
Club meetings are held at the Cowichan Valley Assoc. for Community Living Clements Centre, 5856 Clements Street, Duncan BC.

If you're experiencing a touch of photographic withdrawal due to windy, rainy winter weather don't despair, come and explore still-life table top photography. The still-life photographer makes pictures rather than takes them. Explore the basics of composition and set-up needed to get a start in this photographic genre. Bring your camera, lenses, tripod and any flash attachments you might have for some hands-on practice. High end, specialized, professional equipment is not needed. We will focus on using what you have and improvising with everyday lighting materials.
