Eves Provincial Park - Crofton
Date: Sunday, Oct. 28 LOCATION: Eves Provincial Park – 8107 Little Mountain Road, Westholme Meet: Paring lot at park Time: 10am Directions: From the Duncan area take the Trans-Canada Hwy and turn right at Mt. Sicker Road. Take Mt Sicker 600 m to Westholme Rd. and continue 800m to turn left on Nimmo Rd. Immediately make a right turn on Little Mountain Rd. Follow the road to the end in a parking area. If you are coming from the North take The Trans-Canada Hwy and turn left at Mt. Sicker Road and follow the rest of the directions above. Parking is fairly limited. Costs: None, but as a Class C Provincial Park, donations are appreciated as it doesn’t receive any government funding. Washrooms: Outhouses near the Nature Centre. Walking Conditions: vary – some roots in some trails, a couple of steep areas on a few paths. WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE: To Nature Centre only Cautions: In high winds tree limbs could be blown onto trails, etc. Features: Eves Park is 46 acres with a network of trails with rocky bluffs, a section of old growth forest, an arbutus grove, a pond, and a creek. There is the John Lawson Nature centre with displays, books and hands-on-activities for visitors. There is a grassy area with spring wildflowers near the Nature Centre.
