Meet: North end of Trestle

Time: 11:45am

Directions: From the north, take the Trans Canada Highway to Bench Rd.  Turn right on Koksilah and cross the bridge over the Koksilah River.  Turn left onto Riverside Road. Follow the road to the end (it becomes gravel but keep going) and park.(on the left). 
From the South, take the Trans Canada Highway to Koksilah Road and turn left.  Follow the road into Cowichan Station, cross the bridge and turn left on Riverside Road.  Follow the directions above.

After spending time at the Trestle we will go to Bright Angel Park – From the Trestle take Riverside Road to its end at Kokisilah Road and turn left.  Continue until you see the sign for Bright Angel Park and make a right turn to go into the park.

Bring a bag lunch to eat and then explore the park. 

The Salt Spring Group will be leaving Bright Angel Park no later than 3:30.

Washrooms: Available at Bright Angel Park

Walking Conditions: At the trestle, there is a dirt road from the parking lot to the trestle.  There is a path to the base of the trestle that has steep sections, use caution on your way to the base.  If you want to stay on the trestle the walking is easy.
